You must use MLA formatting conventions for the work you submit to me. There are several reasons why, but the most important are:
I can see where and how you did your research - important skills that you are working on improving by taking this class;
You avoid any chance of plagiarism when you cite your sources in the correct fashion. Plagiarism can get you expelled from school, so it's vitally important that you do not appear to have plagiarized anything from anywhere - citations are essential!
I can correct any misconceptions you might present because your research is inadequate or wrong. Citing websites created by 6 year old kids might not be the smartest thing for a college student to do! Appropriate level sources will improve your understanding of a subject area, and extend your reading, writing and comprehension skills.
